Lois was born on June 28, 1942 in Austin, Texas to Emma Jean and Timothy Ross, both preceded her in death. She was educated in the Austin, Texas Public School System, attending Anderson High.

After being married to the late Raymond Spruell a few years, Lois moved to California in the late 1960\'s, and married the late Michael Lockhart. She began her working career in the medical field helping others.

Lois loved being surrounded by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family and friends. She will be greatly missed as the matriarch of her closely knit family.   

Lois is survived by her four children: Raymond Spruell Jr., Cheryl Spruell-Hill (Burton), Dianne Spruell, Lisa Spruell Stewart; grandchildren: Raymond III, Diamond, Donnovan, Ken\'Tae, Secoria, and Kevin; great-grandchildren: Donnovan Jr., Kamille, Kam\'ren, Ka\'ron, De\'Andrea, De\'Zoria, Christopher, and David; and a host of other relatives and friends.
