Dorothy Mae Jones Reynolds was born July 3, 1930, in Dockery County, Mississippi to Margarie and Austin Jones. She was one of her father\'s 13 children from 2 marriages.

She was baptized at an early age and raised to believe in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

When Dorothy was a young woman, she moved from Mississippi to Chicago, Illinois to live with an older sister, Linda.

By the time she was 24, Dorothy had moved to Los Angeles, California and married Lucian Collins Reynolds Jr. They started their family in 1955 and 7 children were born to this union: Cheryl, Tony, Michael, Denise, Dennis, Vanessa and David.

Dorothy worked as a mother, keypunch operator and a caregiver. She loved her family, both the Reynolds and the Jones. She enjoyed talking with her children, grandchildren, nieces and cousins.

She was a gracious woman with a friendly smile who lived to be 86 years old. She was loved and will be missed.

Those who preceded her in death were her husband, Lucian C. Reynolds, her daughter, Vanessa Jean Reynolds, and son, David Steven Reynolds.

She leaves behind to celebrate her life and homegoing, her oldest daughter, Cheryl Ann Smith (Gene) and daughter Denise Joe Gardina; her oldest son, Michael Angelo Reynolds, and sons Tony Christopher Reynolds and Dennis Collins Reynolds; grandchildren: Rachel, Marie, Christopher, Cameron, Talayne and Michael Jr.; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
