LaKeysha Charitá Myles was born January 26, 1978, to James E. Myles and Charlene A. Curry, at Cedars Sinai in Los Angeles, California. She was the 1st of 3 children. LaKeysha became affectionately known as âKeysha.â

She weighed 6 lbs at birth; and it wasnât until she was 1½ years old that she was diagnosed with Sickle-Cell-Anemia, which lead to multiple hospitalizations over the course of her life. Keysha was a very strong and stubborn child, and thank God for that. That stubbornness was the drive that got her through the tuff times.

Keysha accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Crenshaw Christian Center under the leadership of Apostle Frederick K.C. Price. She was a member for 37 years.

Keysha attended French Doll House Pre-School, Parent Elementary School, Elliot Middle School, Pasadena High School and Marinelloâs School of Beauty. She enjoyed ballet, horseback riding and going to the beach.

Keysha was the best travel partner and was very soft and sweet, but look out when you get her mad. LaKeysha loved her daughter, Christa with a true motherâs love. Christa was Keyshaâs whole life, that little girl gave her the power to fight and live on.

Keysha spent most major events in her life sick and in the hospital; she even missed her High School graduation, but lived to have a great celebration with close family and friends, once she was well enough to do so.

Keysha was employed in the Cosmetology field for 21 years, working for Doris Moseley as a hairdresser. Keysha loved reading books to her daughter and gardening. She was a very happy and well-loved person with many friends that loved her very much.

I have great faith that LaKeysha is resting with God the Father God the Son. Those who preceded her in death were: great-grandmothers: Sammie Matthew and Lavertia Bush, grandfather, Alva I. Curry; uncle Larry E. Curry and aunt, Catherine Curry.

Keysha leaves to cherish her precious memories: daughter Christa Craig, parents: Charlene A. Curry and James E. Myles; grandparents, Addie Curry and DearMyles; sister, Brittany Gore, and brother, Ronald Gore; uncle Alva J. Curry and aunt, Shirley A. Curry. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
