Larry Tyrone Skinner was born on December 21, 1964, in Norfolk, Virginia. Larry\'s adoptive mother preceded him in death.

Larry served in the United States Army. After his tour, he moved to California and worked as a security guard and chef. Larry was a hardworking, caring, independent, strong-willed man who loved to play lotto, cook, tell jokes and socialize with friends. His favorite pastime was going to the movies at the Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Plaza.

In 1999, Larry met his soul mate Drucelia. The two shared a beautiful, loving, joyous and supportive relationship for over 16 years.

Larry was peacefully called home on July 4, 2016. He leaves to cherish his memory, a common-law wife Drucelia; a daughter Rashena Smith; four granddaughters: Crystal, Cortney, Cierra and Kaylin; one grandson, Kevin; one great-grandson, Brandon Beaver, and a host of other relatives and friends.
