Lorraine Joan Storms was born January 26, 1929, in Seattle, Washington to the parents of George Black and Margaret Blackwell, she was their only child.

Lorraine attended Garfield High School. Lorraine met and married James Donald Storms, James had two children: James Donald Storms Jr., and Katherine Storms, Lorraine had a daughter Denise Whaley. Together they had one son, David K. Storms. Lorraine and James shared 52 years of marriage.

Lorraine was employed by the Los Angeles Unified School District for 15 years. She worked as a Cafeteria Cook.

Before her illness, Lorraine enjoyed turnaround trips to Las Vegas and the State Line, and of course, she was very lucky.

Lorraine was incredibly lovable, humble, and very feisty for her stature. She adored her late husband and enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. One of her more favorite things was to look at fashion magazines and talk about current events. Many Saturdays were spent solving the problems of the world. Our family will miss her.

Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, James Donald Storms.

She leaves to cherish her memories, son David K. Storms, and two daughters Denise Whaley and Katherine Storms, grandchildren: Novella Whaley, Shalana Glass, Kimberly Glass, and Sky Storms; great-grandchildren: Aria Vargas and Kayla Vargas, she also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
