Message From Family

Perhaps you sent a lovely card or sat quietly in a chair;
Perhaps you sent a floral piece, if so, we saw it there.
Perhaps you spoke the kindest words, as any friend could say;
Perhaps you were not there at all, just thought of us that day.
Whatever you did to console our hearts,
We thank you so much, whatever the part.

Anderson Christopher Byrd was born on October 13th, 1967 to Michael and Bonnie Byrd in Detroit, MI and was the best birthday gift for his dad, whose birthday was the day after, making him from the start a very special baby boy.

Anderson, affectionately called Byrd by most, was raised in Los Angeles after the family decided to move on up to Cali, making it home in February 1973. As a youth, he loved the outdoors, being involved with the Boy Scouts, swimming at Enterprise Park and playing with other kids in Ujima Village. It was during his early teen years he discovered love for what would become his BPS family where many lifelong friendships were fostered.

Andy attended 122nd Street Elementary, Palms Jr High, LA High, Northern High (Detroit), Dorsey High (briefly), and ultimately received his diploma at Vista Del Rio High School.

In 1991, Andy became a father to Anderson II, joyfully taking on the full reigns of fatherhood and becominga great provider. In 1994, he welcomed his two daughters, Brandi and Brittany. January 1995, he met thelove of his life Tonett, and from this union Brooke and Austin were added to the Byrd Gang. Andy and Tonimade it official becoming Mr. and Mrs. Anderson C. Byrd on August 18, 2002 in an intimate ceremonysurrounded by family and close friends.

Byrd established quite a name in the entertainment industry as a sought out private security agent working with several A-listers. These security positions granted him the opportunity to travel all over the world visiting Canada, Paris, South Africa and Amsterdam to name a few. Byrd eventually took on a career in the marijuana industry joining his AHHS family and serving the patients of WeHo for over 17 years.

Byrd was the epitome of the 3 Ls...Live Laugh Love! He was a gorgeous man with a beautiful spirit. His generosity to family, friends and his community came naturally. That smile…oh that smile would stop you in your tracks! He had the ability to brighten up the most gloomy day with his crazy sayings or his made up words or just that contagious laugh! He most enjoyed cooking, especially alongside his sis Kim; his famous potato salad always had you coming back for more. Amongst all things, eating was his favorite hobby...home cooked meals, fine dining, seafood...just better be good & get his order right or there would be a problem! At a moments notice, he would grab Toni, Mom & the kids, make a couple of calls & the BBQ bonfire at the beach would be in full effect. Impromptu family trips to Indio and San Diego were always fun. He also enjoyed long days at 2nd Avenue Park with his loved ones. Chill time at home with the remote in hand flipping between Sci-Fi, the First 48, black cinemap and OG Kung Fu movies was always ok too. But enjoying his trees on the front porch, enjoying the rocking chair, laughing with his kids, sharing details of his day was his absolute favorite part of his day!

Byrd enjoyed fellowshipping at Praise House Worship Center with Toni and the kids. The Praise House family welcomed the Byrds with much love, hugs and smiles on every visit.

Byrd was preceded in death by his father Michael Byrd and Father-in-love Stanley McCarns. He leaves his greatest blessings, his mother Bonnie Byrd, his Wife Tonett (Toni) Byrd, his children: Ashley, Anderson II, Tailar, Brandi, Brittany, Brooke and Austin, his Grandchildren: Ja\'ah, Juelz, Major and Chase, his sister Angela Byrd-Parker, his Aunties: Kim, Linda, Winnie, and Annette, Uncles: John and David, Mother-in-love Kathy (Edward aka Big D), Sisters-in-love: Staycee, Stancia and Chelcee, Brothers-in-love: Eric and Skylar and Aunt-in-love Renee. He also leaves a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, best friend Charles Blanton, his BPS and AHHS families and many other relatives and friends.

Anderson loved his Wife, Children and Family to NO END, but God loved him more! Rest well our King, you have been a faithful servant and Heaven couldn’t wait any longer!
