Frances Marian Turner was born on November 9, 1929, in
Alexandria Louisiana to Peter Andrews and Mary Truss Andrews;
she was the 4th of 6 children. Frances accepted Christ at an early
age and was baptized in Alexandria.
Frances attended Peabody High School in Alexandria, Louisiana.
After moving to California, she united with Peace Chapel where
she was a member for 35 years, under the leadership of Pastor
DeAntwan Fitts.
Frances met Charlie Turner in 1946 at Peabody High School. The
lovely couple married on May 5, 1948. To this union, three children
were born, Charlie Turner Jr., Jeffrey Turner, and Marian Denise
Turner. Frances and Charlie shared 48 years of marriage.
Frances and Charlie became business partners; they formed and ran
their company Abso-Klein Maintenance Company for 26 years.
Frances enjoyed family gatherings, watching the Lakers, and
reading the newspaper. Frances was dependable, firm, fair, and
loving. She was loyal and the strongest woman I know. Frances
would open her door for us without hesitation. She was very feisty,
funny, and a remarkable woman. Frances was a God-fearing woman.
She taught us to call on my "main man, God," for everything in
life. She will be truly missed.
