In Loving Memory of Evelyn Jerricks

March 27, 1933 - February 20, 2019

Evelyn Ann Jerricks was born and raised in Chicago, IL on March 28, 1933, to parents Amos and Rosezeal Risher. In the early 1950s, Evelyn met Leon Jerricks. The couple wed in 1955, and from that union came three wonderful children: Darrow, Trent, and Deborah. In 1957, the young growing family moved to Los Angeles, California.

Evelyn was dedicated to loving and supporting her family, her children and church homes at Morgan Park Church of God in Chicago, IL, and the Center of Hope - First Church of God in Inglewood, California.

Evelyn graduated from Morgan Park High School in Chicago and later received her Associate of Arts Degree from Los Angeles Trade Technical College. Evelyn loved reading, learning and collecting books. She was the sweetest person that had a way of putting a smile on any and everyone‚s face with her warm heart.

Evelyn passed peacefully in her sleep on February 21, 2019. She is survived by her three children: Darrow (Beverly), Trent (Antoinette), and Deborah (Terry); eight grandchildren: Eric, Nakomie, Rosetta, Terelle, Willena, Monique, Jeffrey, and William; and more than a dozen great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
